Biogas Digester Project
A biogas digester takes vegetable waste from your community and produces methane gas that can be burnt as fuel for cooking or to power lights. Using a digester is easy but it's important to follow a few simple steps:
Collect organic kitchen and garden waste. The digester can convert any vegetable, plant or fruit matter (without chemicals or pesticides) into gas and fertilizer.
Mash the organic waste into a slurry using a macerator or any other means available.
Feed the slurry to the digester. The digester will produce about the same quantity of concentrated fertilizer as the slurry you feed it.
Dilute the concentrated fertilizer and use it to feed your garden plants, house plants or community garden.
The biogas is mostly methane and can be used in a community kitchen for cooking and lighting.
Many years of research has gone into this project. We are proud of it and stand behind our designs and their safety and productivity.
